“We’ve been having an amazing time! We’re at Nehimba now and have really enjoyed the uniqueness of each of the lodges. We’ve seen a huge range of animals, e.g. zebra, giraffe, impala, warthog, elephant, eland, buffalo, wildebeest and numerous birds. But the best experience so far has been coming within meters of 2 male lions who looked us straight in the eyes before continuing on their way, and a pride of 6 lions with 3 cubs. Feeding acacia pods to the elephants at the hide was fantastic too! The school visit was a great experience and the kids joined in for a bit of soccer with the local soccer academy, which was fun! We’ve taken many pictures with multiple devices so will send a few once we’re home and have had a chance to sort through them. “Regarding our Inca portion of our trip, we saw so much and learned so much. In the canyon country, I spotted 6 Andean Condors and asked the driver to stop. We got out and there were 2 adults and 4 immature condors. One of the immature birds appeared curious and circled over us, approximately 12 feet away with its 10-foot wing span. Was so in awe that I forgot to take a picture. It was an incredible experience. The guide actually said he had never seen anything like that. All of us were very happy. Then driving through the altiplano with herds of wild vacuña was an experience I'll never forget.... lakes with flamingos, water fowl and wading birds, the changes in vegetation, etc. Just wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Titilaka and met some very interesting people there. It was a great trip that we will long remember.
